About This Project

The project is located in Damouchari (on the south side of Mount Pelion) and comprises two independent two-storey houses each with a basement. The gradient of the terrain, the positioning on the particular plot and the endeavour to capture the stunning sea views from both properties determined, to a great extent, the design of the buildings.

The two residences are interconnected with stone built staircases as well as with natural formations of the ground itself. The grounds are embellished with rustic wooden shelters, stone clad corridors, carefully planted greenery and well placed trees, as well as outdoor seating facilities accessible from either structure. The property facades are enhanced with stonework and the roofs are overlaid with traditional Pelion slates. The local traditional approach to building is evident throughout, as all the architectural details, such as wooden frames, doors, shutters, loggia and the like, which are influenced by the antiquated local architectural style.
